{"id":21305,"date":"2025-09-06T17:01:28","date_gmt":"2025-09-06T09:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aas.com.sg\/?post_type=pressroom&#038;p=21305"},"modified":"2026-02-02T17:08:33","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T09:08:33","slug":"charity-fundraising-dinner-2025","status":"publish","type":"pressroom","link":"https:\/\/aas.com.sg\/pressroom\/charity-fundraising-dinner-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Automobile Association of Singapore supports charities with SG60 \u2013 AAS Charity Fundraising Dinner &#038; Launch of School Road Safety Playbook"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Singapore &#8211; 6 September 2025<\/strong> \u2013 In commemoration of Singapore\u2019s 60th year of independence, the Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS) will host the SG60 \u2013 AAS Charity Fundraising Dinner and launch the School Road Safety Playbook on:<\/p>\n<p>Date : 6 September 2025<\/p>\n<p>Venue : Sands Expo &amp; Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands<\/p>\n<p>Cassia Main Ballroom Level 3<\/p>\n<p>Time : 6pm \u2013 9.30pm<\/p>\n<p>The event will be graced by Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong as Guest-of-Honour.<\/p>\n<p>The evening will begin with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolising the spirit of SG60 and community togetherness. The dinner brings together donors, partners, beneficiaries, and members of the community to recognise and support those facing challenging circumstances. AAS donations will benefit six charitable organisations:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 ACES Care Helplife<br \/>\n\u2022 Allkin Singapore<br \/>\n\u2022 APSN<br \/>\n\u2022 Autism Resource Centre (Singapore)<br \/>\n\u2022 Singapore Road Safety Council, and<br \/>\n\u2022 Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities<\/p>\n<p>The Association places a high priority on improving and increasing road safety awareness, especially with the recent rise in road traffic accidents and fatalities. There has been a spotlight on road accidents involving children due to their smaller stature, impulsive behaviour, misjudging of speed and distance, and unawareness of danger.<\/p>\n<p>A key highlight of the evening is the launch of the School Road Safety Playbook. Funded by AAS, the Playbook is developed in collaboration with Land Transport Authority (LTA), Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore Road Safety Council (SRSC), and Singapore Police Force (SPF), with grant support from the FIA Foundation. This book aims to educate and empower children with the knowledge and habits they need to stay safe on the road. It also serves as a reminder to parents, guardians, and the community that school zones are low-speed zones to ensure the safety of everyone, especially young road users.<\/p>\n<p>Automobile Association of Singapore extends its heartfelt thanks to all donors, beneficiaries, partners, guests, and supporters.
