1 March 2019, Singapore<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Automobile Association of Singapore (AA Singapore) is excited to announce the launch of its digital membership card, also known as the AA Membership e-card.\u00a0As part of the Association\u2019s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and bring greater convenience to its members, all existing physical AA Membership cards will be replaced with the AA Membership e-card from today.<\/p>\n

The e-card can be accessed via the Association\u2019s free AA Singapore app, available for download from the Apple App Store for iPhone users and Google Play Store for Android devices.\u00a0Members are required to log in to the app using their newly issued unique membership numbers. In compliance with the updated regulations regarding the use of NRIC by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), the Association will cease the use of existing AA Membership cards which reflect members\u2019 personal NRIC, by 31 August 2019.\u00a0The new AA Membership e-card provides members with the same level of service and privileges as the physical card. Having a digital membership card on their mobile devices allow members to make the most out of their membership benefits wherever they go, without the worry of misplacing a physical card.<\/p>\n

\u201cAA Singapore continuously looks for new ways to innovate and enhance the overall membership experience. We are delighted to introduce the e-card to our members, allowing members quicker access to the benefits of an AA Membership without waiting for a physical card to arrive in the mail.\u201d said Mr Lee Wai Mun, Chief Executive Officer of AA Singapore.<\/p>\n

Members simply need to flash their e-card on their mobile devices to enjoy the benefits. AA Singapore will be rolling out the e-card services across all of the Association\u2019s local privilege partners, and to all FIA-affiliated clubs and merchants under the worldwide AAA Discounts and RewardsSM scheme; providing the travelling AA Member access to overseas reciprocal services and the wide array of discounts locally and abroad.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope that the e-card provides members greater flexibility and convenience when they are on the move.\u201d added Mr Lee.<\/p>\n
