Our Sommelier and Restaurant Manager, Mr Ali Heravi, hails from Iran and has been in the F&B industry for the past 10 years. He is a wine enthusiast and has received his Sommelier Diploma in Singapore from “AIS” Italian Association of Sommeliers in 2017.

He will provide a short explanation of different Italian wines and regions, and how to understand basics of the wine. Guests will also be introduced on the food ingredients served and wine structures, as well as how to appreciate them both together.

Pasta

  • The Al Borgo’s Impossible Spaghetti Bolognese.
  • Red Wine: Vignamaggio Chianti Classico Terre di Prenzano, D.O.C.G 2017 (Toscany)

 Main course

  • Pork Scallops “Alla Romana” Crunchy Parma Ham & Sage in Brown Sauce OR Oven Baked Slices of Black Angus Beef with Parmesan Cheese & Rocket.
  • Red Wine: Renato Ratti, Ochetti, Nebbiolo D’Alba, D.O.C 2016

Dessert

  • Original Lemon Sorbet with Limoncello Liquor & Prosecco.
  • Sparkling Wine: Zardetto, Prosecco Extra Dry, D.O.C (Veneto)

Terms & Conditions / Event Policy

  1. Submission of this registration form is not proof of acceptance. Registration will be confirmed in writing. NO telephone booking will be accepted.
  2. Please note that registrations close on 12 August 2019. As the activity is subject to minimum number of participants, members will be informed on 13 August 2019 if the activity is confirmed.
  3. All payments are to be made prior to the event.
  4. Payment made is non-refundable except in the event of activities being cancelled by Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS) for unforeseen circumstances.
  5. The Management reserves full rights to cancel or change details of event without prior notice.
  6. The Management will not be liable for any mishap or injury, or any loss or damage by any participant during or as a result of the event.
  7. The organisers reserve the right to prevent any participant from continuing with the event as they deem fit. The reasons may consist of, but are not limited to the misconduct of the participant, or that he/she behaves in a manner that could potentially cause delay or disruptions to the event or itinerary, or danger or harm to the other participants. In this event no refund will be given. Any additional costs and responsibility involved in removing the participant will be borne by the client.
  8. Please note that seat will only be reserved upon payment received.

Warning and Waiver of Responsibility

  1. By registering this event, you are stating that you are above the age of 18 and/or of legal drinking age. 
  2. You must acknowledge that wine is a drug and will affect your performance of any machinery or vehicle.  You must agree not to drive if you are over the legal limit for alcohol consumption or if you do not feel safe to drive.
  3. You must agree to keep your consumption in line with socially acceptable behaviour and limit your portions to one tasting of each wine. 
  4. In addition, you take responsibility for your actions prior to, during, and following consumption of alcohol. 
  5. You will not hold AAS and its partners liable for your actions. 
  6. You accept responsibility for your own actions and reactions to the wine being served.  This serves as a legal posting, warning and request to protect you from yourself.
