The Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore (PDPC) has issued Advisory Guidelines on the collection and use of NRIC and other National Identification Numbers by organisations effective on 1 September 2019. The Advisory Guidelines aim to enhance consumer protection against the usage and disclosure of individuals’ NRIC numbers.

AA Singapore adheres and complies with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act in safeguarding the personal data which our members and customers entrusted with us for legitimate business purposes. We will only collect personal data from our members and customers to facilitate the services we provide. We will cease to retain an individual’s personal data annually once the collected data is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.

Under our personal data governance policy, we perform regular reviews on our business processes with regard to the prevailing requirements under the Personal Data Protection Act to ensure compliance.

In view of the Advisory Guidelines, we have implemented appropriate measures and ceased the use of NRIC numbers as primary identifier in our membership cards and other applicable business processes.

You reserve the right to update or withdraw your consent of personal data provided to us. For more details, please refer to our privacy policy.
