How to take care of your car battery
If you are using a maintenance-free car battery, it is highly recommended to have your car battery checked, maintain it in accordance with your car, and battery manufacturers recommended intervals ensure that your car runs in tip-top condition. While it is relatively easy to get a tow truck in Singapore since we are a small island, you wouldn’t want to go through the stress of a mid-journey breakdown because you forgot to replace your car battery.
Acid Corrosion
How to remove car battery corrosion
Don’t forget to keep a look out for acid corrosion on your car battery terminal as it can cause damage to your battery if unnoticed. Acid corrosion is usually caused by hydrogen gas being released from the sulfuric acid inside the battery. As the gasses react to the ambient atmosphere, it begins to produce a corrosive environment around the battery. If there are corrosion signs visible on the battery, you can try to use a wire brush to remove the corrosion and grease it with petroleum jelly. Otherwise, you can always count on AAS for any emergencies. Simply call our hotline and let our mechanics provide assistance.

- 24 hour on-site car battery breakdown assistance and replacement services are valid for the main island in Singapore only. (excluding Jurong Island).
- Drive-in car battery to our car battery service centre breakdown and replacement services in Singapore are strictly by appointment. Appointments are subject to availability, and booking must be made at least one day in advance.
- All types of vouchers are not valid for use during promotional periods.
- Battery models are subject to compatibility with car makes and models. Depending on the car make and model, our mechanics may carry out an on-site inspection to confirm the compatibility of a battery model prior to the battery change.
- If you encounter any battery-related issues within the warranty period, our mechanic will test and jumpstart the car battery. If jump starting does not resolve the issue, a loaned battery will be provided while your battery will be sent for further testing at our shop in Singapore.
- On-site car battery breakdown assistance services are not applicable for Social Membership.
- Up to 15-month battery warranty
- An attendance fee of $59.40 is chargeable for each on-site service rendered
- Up to 12-month battery warranty
