Singapore, 13 July 2016 – AAS Academy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Automobile Association of Singapore has launched a new Online Driving Training System to AA Members, as part of the Association’s road safety campaign. The holistic online training system also offers industry partners, interested corporations and individuals, a self-discovery learning journey.
The system assesses the driver’s risk level and recommends appropriate training modules based on his risk rating. Through the specific topics, a highly focused training is delivered, making the system effectively relevant to each individual. In view of the recent spate of road accidents, the online training system aims to raise drivers’ awareness and encourages safe road practices.
“The online training helps individuals and organisations to identify their risk levels and take additional measures to protect themselves, their loved ones and other road users. It is readily accessible and highly interactive.” added Mr Lee Wai Mun, Chief Executive Officer of AA Singapore.
AAS Academy has also introduced a series of Driver Risk Management Mini Workshops. The Academy is proud to be the first and only accredited training institute by the International Road Transport Union (IRU) in both Singapore and Southeast Asia. The workshops target various elements of driver risk management and each module aims to develop the knowledge and skills required to ensure safe and responsible driving under differing road conditions.
In the coming months, AAS Academy will be introducing more related courses on safe driving practices for all road users.
“As the voice of the motoring community, AA Singapore aims to raise drivers’ awareness and promote road safety. By helping drivers instil the right knowledge and skills, we hope to minimise potential accidents and make the roads safer for all road users” said Mr Lee.
